]]> http://keithhowland.com/blog.html/new_hlmp_b_cd_coming_soon Fri, 06 Aug 2010 07:44:31 -0700 keithhowland.com - Keith Howland - Blog Tony Peluso..... http://keithhowland.com/blog.html/tony_peluso Wow....just read that Tony Peluso from the Carpenters band passed away this week.  HUGE influence on me....used to go see the Carpenters live when I was really young...used to refer to the band as "the freaks" cause they had long hair unlike Richard and Karen!   I wanted to be one of those freaks, namely Tony Peluso.   His melodic solo on the song "Goodbye To Love" still kills me whenever I hear it.  Got to meet Tony once in LA and he was a sweet guy.  He produced and engineered many great records but I'll always remember him as the "freak" with the 335 onstage with The Carpenters.  May he Rest In Peace!
