These cds were recorded live on consecutive nights at the world famous jazz club "The Baked Potato" in North Hollywood Ca on November 3rd and 4th. Each CD contains high energy versions of the tunes from the studio releases plus each band performs a few cuts from the other bands record as well. The HIP band consisted of Tris Imboden, Lance Morrison, Steve Weingart and myself and the HLMP band was obviously myself (Howland), Matt Laug, Lance Morrison, and Chris Pinnick (who burns it up by the way) and special guest Jeff Babko on keys. If you are a fan of improvisation and spontaneity then you need to check these out. Almost 74 minutes of music on each CD and all for less than the cover charge at the club that night!
