Welcome to my "Keith's Picks" page! I've decided that this time around
I'd let you hear a few tracks in their "infant" stages as I have become
quite the expert on infants lately. The first track is the original
version of "Philly Blue" that was recorded entirely in my hotel room in
Philadelphia. The synth parts and the guitar track are the same as
on the HIP CD but the hypnotic drum machine and bass part were dumped in
favor of real humans. This version is a bit more stark but it
kinda features the guitar better in a way. Second is the original demo
version of "Back To You" before there was even a lyric. This is the
version that Robert heard and wanted to work on with me. The melody was played on acoustic guitar and the guitar solo is a bit more "over the top" than the record was. Finally, due to special requests, I have included the pulsing intro music that we have used to open the Chicago shows in recent years. I put this piece together specifically as a crowd getter upper and it wasn't meant to be listened to as music. Anyway, here is the full length version of the piece for your pulsing pleasure. Enjoy! |
